Our busy summer season concludes with a concert at the prestigious Buxton Festival Fringe sharing the billing with Tideswell Male Voice Choir. We are thrilled to performing with the men and delighted they have chosen us as co-performers – after all their next shared concert is with the runaway success Military Wives Choir!
The performance will take place at St John’s Church, Buxton on Wednesday 12 July 2012 at 7.30 pm. The simplest way to obtain a ticket is to contact our musical director Lorraine Brown directly (firstname.lastname@example.org) as she has a stash of tickets available. St John’s Church (postcode SK17 6XG) stands is on the A53 St John’s Road, at the junction with the A5005 Manchester Road, near Buxton’s famous Opera House. There is some limited parking in the church grounds accessed from Manchester Road, but much more pay-and -display parking can be found in the surrounding streets.

Approaching Lymm on the A56 from Altrincham, Oughtrington Lane is the first turning on the right after passing the prominent Church Green pub and restaurant on your left.
St Peter’s church is on the left after you pass the Leisure Centre and High School on your right.

We are holding our Spring Concert on Friday 25 May 2012 at 7.30pm at St Margaret’s Church, Dunham Road, Altrincham WA14 4 AQ. St Margaret’s is the impressive church stone church with a tower on your left as you drive along the the main road A56 towards Manchester. There is parking both in the church car park which is accessed via Gorsey Lane, the narrow street just before the church if you are driving towards Manchester. Alternatively there should be on-street parking on St Margaret’s Road, the broad residential street opposite the church.
Joining us as special guests for this performance are the Meadway Youth Choir and the Trafford Youth Concert Band. We have been rehearsing hard and have an uplifting and varied programme for you.
Tickets are £7 for adults; no charge for children under 16. The ticket price includes a free glass of wine or soft drink.Choir members have been busy planning their baking and so cakes will be available too – donations for these gratefully accepted.
Tickets are available from any choir member, or just turn up and pay on the door. We look forward to seeing you on Friday.
Our Christmas concert is on Sunday 12 December 2010 at 2.30 pm at St George’s Church, Altrincham
Admission and refreshments afterwards are free. A collection will be held for our chosen charity for 2010, the Cheshire Downs Syndrome Support Group.
