Goodbye 2024!

We finished 2024 with several Christmas events:

Winter Concert – Christmas Past and Present – Dec 1st 2024

This was Emma’s first concert as director of Di Voci and what a success! Our guests were Ashton on Mersey Showband, who gave a wonderful, lively performance. We sang a mix of traditional and new Christmas songs, including Jerusalem (not the well-known version!) where we surrounded the audience, so that they were immersed in the music. We had a great audience, including Emma’s mum all the way from the USA!

Light up a Life for St Ann’s Hospice – Dec 4th 2024

This is our 11th year singing at St Peter’s, Hale in support of St Ann’s Hospice and is always very special for us.

Carol singing and flash mob at Tesco – Dec 15th 2024

This was a fun performance for us, especially singing ‘Carol of the Bell’ as we came down the escalator!

Goodbye Lorraine

This was Lorraine’s final few months as our director, after 17 years.

We had a very emotional farewell party, organised by choir members with a 3 course meal prepared by choir members Sara and Joy.

Spring/Summer 2024 update

What a year! This was Lorraine’s final few months as our director, after 17 years. It was a very busy summer!

Bangor International Choral Festival 26th – 28th April 2024

This competition was in Bangor, Northern Island. We were very proud to take second place in the Female Choirs section and had fantastic feedback from the adjudicators.

Llangollen International Eisteddfod – 6th July 2024

What an honour to be accepted to compete here! We didn’t win, but loved both participating and watching other choirs and performers.

Summer concert – Tree of Song

This concert took place on Saturday18th May 2024 at our usual venue, St George’s Church, Altrincham. It was a beautiful day and the concert was very well attended. The prosecco might have helped!
