I thought the standard of the choir was outstanding and I enjoyed standing by the side listening to the solo pieces as much as our joint pieces.  There is obviously a huge amount of talent within the choir and that came across time after time.  One lovely surprise on the day was the additional descant parts to the carols – I wasn’t expecting that at all, but it just added a wonderful layer on top of everything else.

October 2016 – Di Voci sing as guests at Chester Male Voice Choir Concert

Response from CMVC:

“….I feel I must add my own personal thanks.  In addition to being a member of our choir I am also Chairman of our local Retired Police Officer’s Association.  For this concert I arranged for our police members to be informed of the concert.  At least 10 came, 1st time for most of them, and from the comments, phone calls and comments I have received, they were bowled over.  As a frustrated dancer I was particularly impressed with your Tango song.  It annoys my grandkids when I dance to music in supermarkets, but I defy anyone not to swing those hips when the nature of Tango music was so wonderfully expressed by you.  That is not to say the rest of your programme wasn’t excellent.  it was and I know the rest of our choir thought so too.

Another programme at your venue, if possible, is something to which we are all looking forward.  Once again, thank you!

“We were lucky to have the beautiful Di Voci choir preform at our wedding in July 2016.  The choir were more than willing to perform both before the wedding to welcome our guests and during the signing of the register.  They contributed to a joyful but calm ceremony by performing famous classics such as John Rutter’s ‘For the Beauty of the Earth’ and his ‘Gaelic Blessing’ as well as performing two pieces composed by the bride!.  We both appreciated the help and support of the choir as well as the hard work and musicality of the conductor, Lorraine.   Thanks so much to all involved – you sounded amazing and you even wore clothes to match the colour scheme!  It was beautiful to hear you singing as I arrived in the bridal car with my dad and you made me feel calm and relaxed.  You truly sounded like angels and you truly made our day very special.
